Our flagship art course. Join Slade-trained tutor Carol Baker MA for a vibrant 12-week journey through drawing, painting, and mixed media. Each week explores a new theme, artist, or technique — helping you build confidence, develop your skills, and enjoy the creative process in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.You’ll work with pencil, pastel, ink, watercolour, acrylic, and mixed media, discovering how to capture light, movement, texture, and emotion in your art.

This term’s themes include:

• Harvest Still Life – draw natural forms with autumnal tones
• Farm Animals in Motion – capture movement with pencil, pen and ink
• Portraits in Colour – expressive faces with pastel and oil pastel
• Madagascar Wildlife – bright tropical colours and mixed techniques
• Rainy Streets & Water Birds – reflections in watercolour
• Enchanted Forests & Seascapes – imaginative landscapes in mixed media
• Figures in Motion & Through the Window – people and perspective
• Moonlight & Christmas Cards – glowing night scenes and festive art

Materials are provided, and classes include tea, coffee and plenty of encouragement!

The 12 Week Art Class is fully booked for this term, but new dates will be announced in December.
